This is The End
Gentle Readers,
It's been a long time since I updated any part of carlosmorales.com besides this Journal (I still had a 'Get Ready for 01.01.01' section, fer pete's sake). The rest of the site was hand-carved from ancient HTML harvested by hermit monks esconced in the high reaches of secret Nepalese mountain passes, and every update needed at least a dozen file edits. Being lazy, I just avoided updating.
Well, I've finally gotten off my ass and moved to the 21st century - the new CarlosMorales.com is joomla-driven, letting me focus on creating content and taking care of all that htmljavaflash crap for me. I wasn't able to get everything *exactly* the way I liked, but it's close enough for government work.
Unfortunately, Journal the Third was collateral damage to all this. My install of Movable Type was aging, and the new versions require $$$ or place yucky restrictions on me. Spammers had forced me to disable comments and pingbacks, so it was kind of one-way.
So, without further ado, I invite to visit the New and Improved carlosmorales.com. Yes, it is slightly slower, and more bland, but it's easy (for me), so it'll get more updates.
And so, it is with a bit of nostalgia that I post the final The Third post, and open the doors to The Fourth, aka Blog.
peace out,
Carlos Morales
ps. Those who subscribe via RSS - the feed is different too... you'll find a link to it on the main carlosmorales page.

Funny Video, Good Video
Now that we've bought into the Apple Thing (with a Macbook Pro - sweet little box if I do say so myself), I found this parody of the Mac Air video funny:
On the other hand, I love the song, and I double plus love it now that I've found the original song, with video:
